Level 1 Fire Declared in El Paso


The Cabildo of La Palma, under the Wildland Fire Plan de Canarias (Infoca) has reported that it has declared a Level 1 in the burning of El Paso and it would be necessary for people to evacuate their homes as a precaution.

The fire began in the morning in Mountain Henriquez, Las Moraditas, moving to an area of grassland. The area is now being controlled by eight fire engines, six members of the agency, as well as two engineers and two aerial means.

The troops, amounting to 125 professionals, are being coordinated by the Cecopin and the Advanced Command Post, located in the Visitor Center National Park.

The Island Corporation has proceeded to cut the LP-212 road of Tacande, linking El Paso with the district of Stains, leaving operative use only for the use of mass extinction.

Also, as a security measure, they proceeded to evict people who were in the recreation area of El Pilar and the cut of the LP-301 road, from the Cruz de La Pavona, in Brena Alta , to the intersection of the same road to La Cumbre (LP-3).

The council has asked every citizen to take the necessary precautions against the high temperatures recorded these days to avoid any such incident.
