Cinderella Otter (Aonyx cinereus)

Did you know?

That the Cinderella Otter is much smaller than the other 13 species of otters in the world?

The Cinderella Otter has small claws and has a glossy brown coat with a bottom of lighter color. Its hair is relatively short and highly water resistant. The claws of the Cinderella Otter are much lower than those of other otters. And unlike other otters, they have little webbed feet. Despite their feet being small, they show great skill and dexterity in using them. They can close their nostrils and ears to prevent water from entering when they are submerged.
